The original name of la Habana was San Cristobal de la Habana when it was founded in 1519. The brand was launched in 1999 to commemorate Habana’s long history. It first launched with 4 lines: El morro, La fuerza, La punta y El principe. The tobacco used comes from the Vuelta Abajo region. One of the best productions they’ve released is the tower shaped porcelain Jar of 25 cigars called Torreon. You will find it at the Montefortuna Online Cigar Boutique.

    Starts light and finishes on the medium side. Has floral and woody notes with some honey sweetness. Great compliment with a beer or rum drink.

    The cigar is strong, interesting and very tasty. I did not smoke something like that before, this vitola is absolutely peculiar and the next time I will smoke it with great pleasure. This cigar deserves a good score.

    I’ve ordered this cigar in the end of march. The parcel was delivered quickly. This cigar is brilliant item for my humidor. I’m strongly advice this cigar and supplier.

    Service and delivery were excellent and product arrived well package. Cigars were a little dry and crispy. Wrapper not as oily as I expected. Box stamped Nov 17 still a little young (aged less than 2years) and flavours did not come through a lot yet. Overall construction was good and the last third of the cigar smoked decently. The porcelain jar looks very classy next to my humidor.

    Update (smoked a second stick): The cigar opened up from second-third onwards. Draw was excellent and smooth through the nose with floral and sweet flavours. no tunneling and ash held well. Very enjoyable and a must have in collection!

    Not happy with the delivery of this package…states on the webpage the jar comes with 25 cigars…I received the package today and there was no jar and only 1 single cigar…false advertising of this product.

    There was no false advertising. Yes, the jar came with 25 cigars; however, Montefortuna was not selling the entire jar – they were only selling Singles. That is made crystal clear where one places their order. For every cigar offering on this entire website, there is a pull-down menu that says “Choose an option,” which gives one the manner in which a cigar is being sold. For this offering of the San Cristobal de la Habana Torreón, the only option available was “Single.” Given the price of Cuban cigars, can anyone really believe they’re getting an entire 25-count jar of one of the most exclusive Cuban Cigar editions ever created (only 2,000 jars total) for the price of just one cigar?
