Founded by Jose Gener in 1865. He growed tobacco before founding the factory. The company rapidly grew becoming one of the most famous cigar brands, especially in the british market. Probably the most famous cigar brand. It was founded in 1935 and the name was inspired by the Alexander Dumas’s book “The count of Monte Cristo”. Ordered these on 17-April-20. They arrived on 5-May-20. Much like the sampler product I couldn’t wait to smoke these. As they had a 2017 mark, I let them rest a week then enjoyed them. Again very tasty. Well I have smoked 4 of the 5. I am afraid to smoke the Cohiba since they have all been rather played up and I am afraid it won’t live up to expectations, but in the next week or so I will bite the bullet. Though will order this again soon.

It was a nice way to get cigars from multiple brands at a good price to allow you to sample how the subtle blends between the brands affect the flavors that come through during the smoking experience. Wonderful, tasty, good quality cigars. But not worth $193.00 for 6 cigars. That’s over $32.00 a cigar. Last November I paid $105.00. Is this inflation or greed? I wont be ordering again until the price comes down.
