Probably the most famous cigar brand. It was founded in 1935 and the name was inspired by the Alexander Dumas’s book “The count of Monte Cristo”. They are characterized for its strength (medium to full). The Montecristo Cigars are filled with tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region, known as the best tobacco in the world.     Montecristo Dantes Edicion Limitada 2016 is quite long vitola. The cover sheet Colorado is smooth and velvety. The aroma is subtle, mixed: here and light sweet, and cedar, and a noticeable “animal” note. There are hay notes, sweet spices and a little honey. Good traction, as it should be.

    Great flavor that consists of coffee, nuts and pepper. Definitely a stick to take your time with to fully appreciate it.

    Tried this cigar not long after it came out and I must say that i wasnt impressed because it did feel young and it felt like it hasnt got much to offer. However seeing multiple reveiws on it in years I find it that this is a cigar that got a lot better with aging, lost biterness, flavours got better etc. I will definitely come back to this and try it out for myself.
