Jose L. Piedra was founded in 1880 and it is characterized for being produced in the Remedios region in Cuba, the oldest tobacco producing region. Its strength is medium to full and its price is very competitive which makes it very popular in Cuba.     This short filler, hand rolled cigar is great for every day smoking. Nothing fancy here, but flavorful and easy to smoke. Creamy, woody, hints of caramel and maybe a little butter on the retrohale. Would pair very nicely with a cappuccino or any sweet, strong coffee beverage. Can’t beat the price!

    So here’s the trick. If you keep these in your humidor fo about 6 months they taste identical to the Montecristo No.4. I’m honestly not pulling your leg here and several other reviews will confirm this. The fact that these cigars are so cheap is incredible especially considering how nice they taste. Now if you don’t leave then to age then they’re not the best tasting cigar so does require a little effort but it’s worth waiting for.

    The cigar has a strong, strongly pronounced taste and a pleasant aroma with spicy notes. The smoke is thick, full, smoking is even, the traction is good.

    Its a good cheap cuban smoke, creamy but strong, with alot of spicyness. Its a very good cigar regarding the price point on it. Its one of those cigars that u could smoke while mowing the lawn, doing some yard work, some woodwork or maybe you just need something that wont break the bank, but u dont want to move away from Cubans.

    A very affordable cigar to have when you want something you can smoke and not spend to much time thinking about the cigar. Nice flavor notes that are straight forward through the entire cigar. Not complex … but easy to smoke and enjoy. I consider them a generic Cuban. We all reach for something generic at times. The price is the main benefit…. but the experience isn’t bad at all.

    Great cigar for the price. For a lower-end cigar, the cigar draw is a bit difficult at times but still great value. Perfect for the golf course, cutting the grass, or out on the boat when you want a Cuban but don’t care if it gets damaged.

    Loved this cigar for the price. All the great usually taste you get with a Cuban but for less. It won’t knock you off your feet but it is light smoke and does not produce a lot of smoke and the flavors are not complex.
